A Gentle 5 Minute Meditation Challenge
A gentle 5-minute meditation challenge designed to bring calm, inner quiet, and mindfulness into your day, perfect for beginners seeking peace and clarity and a place to start your new "You".
If the idea of meditation feels overwhelming, let me reassure you of something important:
You don’t need more time, you just need a few minutes. You just need to begin and growth from there. What today is only 5 minutes maybe in a week, maybe in a month or maybe in a year it will be an hour.
This is not a challenge about perfection, discipline, or doing things “right.”
It’s simply an invitation to pause.
The 5-Minute Meditation Challenge
For the next 7 days, give yourself just 5 minutes a day.
That’s it.
Five minutes to sit.
Five minutes to breathe.
Five minutes to be with yourself.
No expectations. No judgment.
How to Begin
Choose a moment in your day that feels realistic, maybe the morning or afternoon, or evening.
- Sit comfortably (on a chair, the floor, or your bed I do prefer not to lay on the bed or you will run the risk of falling asleep!!! )
- Turn your phone off
- Close your eyes or keep them softly open
- Take a slow breath in… and a slow breath out
Let your body settle.
What to Do With Your Thoughts
Your mind will wander. That’s normal.
When a thought appears:
- Notice it
- Don’t fight it
- Don’t follow it, don't let it drag you down the path of many other thoughts
Simply return to your breath.
In…
Out…
Each time you come back, you are practicing presence.
Choose What Feels Right for You
You can meditate:
- In silence
- With a soft sound or music
- With a guided meditation ( I love Dr. Joe Dispenza but I must warn you it is not for everyone taste!)
- By focusing on a candle flame
There is no right way, there is only your way.
Why This Matters
These five minutes are not about escaping life.
They are about meeting yourself.
With consistency, even if five minutes is the only time you have, you can:
- Calm your nervous system
- Create mental clarity
- Reduce emotional overwhelm
- Help you reconnect with your inner quiet
And most importantly, remind you that you already carry the answers within you.
Be Kind to Yourself
If you miss a day, begin again.
If your mind feels busy, stay anyway.
If all you do is sit, just know that it is enough.
This is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about listening to yourself, to that inner voice that you have ketp quiet for so long
I invite you to try this challenge, and if it resonates with you, I would love to hear how it feels. This space is meant for sharing, growing, and becoming together.
